Bastille Day Returns to Philadelphia for a Celebration of 250 Years of French-American Friendship!
To recover from the excitement of July 4th...

On Sunday, July 12, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the French organizations of the Greater Philadelphia will bring back one of the city's beloved French traditions with a free family-friendly celebration in Rittenhouse Square, in the center of the French Quarter in Philadelphia, celebrating 250 years of French-American friendship.
Held during the historic America250 commemoration and as Philadelphia welcomes the world for the FIFA World Cup, the event will highlight the rich cultural, educational, charitable, and business contributions of the French community while inviting Philadelphians and visitors alike to experience a taste of France.
This family-friendly event, celebrating the 250 years of French-American friendship, is open to the public, “petits et grands”, locals, “touristes”, everyone who loves France, Paris, and la vie en rose!
Guests of all ages are invited to bring their elegant French picnic, cheer on the famous Parisian Waiters' Race, play pétanque, listen to French storytime and music, participate in scavenger hunts, try on French costumes, face-painting selfie booths, explore the Community Village, learn more about Philadelphia's French organizations, and celebrate everything that makes France so beloved around the world.
